Real Sharp Looking Revolver that was highly valued by someone !
Large portion of the tin or silver finish still remains in very good shape !
"E. Whitney New Haven" markings on top of barrel worn, but still barely legible.
All matching serials on entire pistol. (Underside of barrel pictured)
Loading Lever serials.
Inspector's marks B on right frame flat, and P on right barrel flat as well as several other places.
Inspector's mark P on trigger guard.
Right grip with small chip out of lower corner.
Left grip shows shrinkage, but both are original to the pistol.
Just a real nice looking, smoothly functioning, .36 caliber Navy Revolver that no doubt about it, did service during the war !
From the once tented fields & snug winter quarters. Plus a few from the dusty old Trunk.
