Nice WC-1 Wisconsin State Seal Staff Officer's Coat Button
Nice WC-1 Wisconsin State Seal Staff Officer's Coat Button
Here's a good example of a Wisconsin Staff Officer's Coat Button ! They are one of the more desirable Northern state buttons, and getting harder to find. Though this one is non-dug, it shows a lot of wear to the high points of the device, and has a "Dug" look to it. In other words, it didn't lay in a box for years, but was definitely worn and used ! Still retains a good bit of gold gilt on the front, missing mostly on those high points. Reverse has a period correct * Extra * Quality backmark, in between two rows of dots, and a tight upright shank. No damage of any kind, and it has a nice "relic" look that displays beautifully. 22mm.
