the number, MM143. It's got no digger damage whatsoever, no
dinks or nicks, and a nice white patina. Still a little dirt in the rings,
but overall a nice displaying example. Recovered at Petersburg,
Virginia, on the Flank Road between Fort Davis, and Fort
Alexander Hays.

| Here is a Rarely Seen Trans-Mississippi Confederate Bullet ! Known as a "Cove Creek" Minie, or "Texas Troops" Minie, this one was recovered in one of CS General Thomas C. Hindman's camps here in NW Arkansas. Identified by the long nose, unevenly spaced rings, and cylindrical plug cavity, these bullets are only rarely encountered, and then not in large numbers by any means. This example mics about .570 in diameter, by 1.070 length. It has a few period scars, a push to the base, and out of round cavity walls, but still displays Very Nice on one side. In excellent dropped condition, these bullets sell for $200+ , but this one is Priced Much Nicer ! $75 plus shipping

| Here is a Nice Group of Four Soldier Carved Bullets ! One on the far left may have been intended for a pencil, next one to the right is the nose of a carved .69 minie, then a .54 minie with nose cut cleanly away, and lastly on the far right, almost appears he was making a belt stud, or something of the sort. All are in good dug condition, with no digger damage, and nice patina. Recovered in a dual use camp just a few miles from the Pea Ridge, Arkansas, Battlefield. Update: 9-5-11 Digger brought in 2 more carved bullets, a cut off Sharps Ringtail, and a cut off Enfield, from the same camp, so now it's 6 Nice Carved Bullets ! $30 plus shipping

Included are a couple of fired 3-ringers, several .69 musket balls showing teeth marks and other damage, a few .54 caliber round balls, .44 caliber round balls, .36 caliber round balls, some .31 caliber pistol balls or buckshot, and one or two pieces of camp lead. All told there are 40 pieces of lead here, all recovered at a dual use campsite, just a few miles from the Pea Ridge, Arkansas, Battlefield, and related to the battle. | Here is a Nice Dropped, Spoke Base .577 Enfield Bullet ! It's got a gray/white patina, with no digger damage or dinks. Plug base clearly shows a 6-point relief spoke in the center. This is another recovery from the Flank Road, between Fort Davis and Fort Alexander Hays, in Petersburg, Virginia. SOLD
